8th GRADE CAREER DAY
Hey 8th graders, your Career Day is coming up! We thought you might want to hear what some of your teachers wanted to be when they were your age. Here is Mr. Shrout’s story…
As a kid, my dream was to become an archeologist, like my big screen hero, Indiana Jones. I wanted a job with adventure and excitement, just like in the movies! However, about the time I began 7th grade at Whiteaker Middle School, I decided I wanted to walk in the footsteps of my real-life hero—my dad—and become a middle school teacher like him. And let me tell you, teaching 6th graders all day long is full of awesome adventure that I absolutely love!
