Cross Country is a sport in which athletes run courses at local parks such as Keizer Rapids and Bush Park. At each weekly meet, they will run against other Salem Keizer Middle Schools.
Sixth graders run a distance of 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) while seventh and eighth graders run a 3 kilometer (1.8) course.
This year Cross Country practice will begin on Tuesday, September 12th. Athletes are required to have a completed athletic packet returned to the school prior to participation in practice. 7th and 8th grade students need a current physical (within two years) while sixth graders can participate without a physical.
Daily practice will train you be able to run the distance and increase your speed. We look forward to a great season, Panthers!
