Claggett Creek Families,
State law requires schools to conduct two lockdown drills per year. Claggett Creek conducted our first lockdown during the first few weeks of school and will conduct our second one again during the month of January. These drills are not a simulation of a threat and are not intended to scare students, however, they do allow us to practice protocols that keep students safe in the event we should ever have a real lockdown. We do want students to take the drills seriously so they are familiar with lockdown routines and procedures as safety is our priority.

If you have safety concerns, or notice any gaps in our security, then please feel free to connect with the school principal. As parents, you have a valuable perspective that can help improve safety procedures.

As gaps are identified, we will continuously refine and improve our lockdown procedures. Thank you.
